I have developed a large project in RoboHelp HTML X3. I want to clone it - have two projects that are exactly the same but with different titles and file locations. Then I want to be able to work on each as an independent project. Please advise me how to do that. Thank you. Carl Erickson Solutions by Computer
As a first step, I would advise you to right-click a topic in your project and display its properties. Then click the File tab followed by Open Folder. This should open Windows Explorer at your project location.
Now dismiss any dialogs and close RoboHelp.
From Windows Explorer, copy the folder where your project is (as well as any subfolders) and paste where you want the new project to be stored. From there you open the project and give it a life of its own.
I saw this as a result of a Google Alert. You really should consider asking for help in the Adobe Support Forums at the link below:
I ran across this entry and tried your advice, but I ran into the problem of not having my images display in the cloned project. They had pointers to the folders in the original project. How do I get the images to display in the cloned project now that it has a new path? Thanks in advance for your help.
