Disadvatage of wireless mesh network?

1) Cost.

2) Being so wide spread, it'd be easy for someone to hack their way into it unnoticed and start doing who knows what.

A wireless mesh network is very similar to a regular wireless network. The only difference between the two is reach. While a wireless network may spread throughout a building or a neighborhood, a wireless mesh network covers a much larger area, such as a city.http://rubberfloorings.co.uk/ground-stabilising-mesh-

The main reasons why we don’t advise the use of mesh are the negative sides of mesh: bandwidth consumption and lack of interoperability.

Below are the main disadvantages of mesh networks.

1. Mesh networks can be very hard to manage. It requires continuous supervision because of the redundancy present in the network. Skilled network administrators will find it easy to manage this kind of topology.

2. It requires a lot of devices, it will need a lot of capital to invest in. It may be expensive but the service it provides you will definitely give back the invested capital.
