Why can't I download pictures from Canon PowerShot A530 to Windows Vista PC?

I tried clicking Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt>Run as Administrator>typing command stated in Windows help website, then restarting computer. When I look at Autoplay from the Control Panel, the Device section is still empty, does not recognize that I have a camera. Device Manager shows that the camera is functioning properly.

I would say take the card out and use a card reader personally, or use the canon zoombrowser that comes with it
