Social Security Benefit Garnishment

If I am disabled, and recieving disability Benefits From SSA, And my income is garnished because of a government Backed defaulted Student loan, and the say they are only going to take part of my funds, when should I recieve the remainder of my payment, after the reduction?

can only be garnished by federal authority (IRS, e.g.), and then only in a limited percentage over a base-free amount. Otherwise, it is exempt from attachment (garnishment).
