Well it will be risky, seeing as you don't know what you're doing, but if you open up the case and take the power button out, you can remove the LED for the power button, so it doesn't light up when it's on. Aside from risking breaking something, depending on how the LED is wired in there, you may have to solder a small wire in there to bridge the gap for the switch to work. As for the screen, well, that really will look off if it's off, and then you won't see it until you turn on the computer. I don't think I'm understanding what you were asking about the screen though, can you reword it?
