Things in the world aren't free. Since the dawn of time the world has worked on the concept of trade. Even the animal kingdom, some tribes of monkeys trade some of their nuts and berries for some of another monkey tribe's fruit. You need to offer a good or service in order to receive a good or service in return. The saying, "Nothing in life is free." is completely true. Sure there are free offers, but the point is that it's always costing someone something somewhere. A laptop is a piece of technology that uses electricity and is comprised of many components. It costs money. If you do get a free laptop, it probably will only run Windows 2.0, and that won't be of any use to you in today's world. No printers will work, you won't be able to get on the internet, and it won't accept any modern software. If you want a laptop, get a job, make some money, and buy one.
