Who do I talk to about depression?

I think I may have depression but I don't know what t do. I am worried if I talk to someone about it they will just say its nonsense and that im being crazy. What do I do?

Find a mature family member or mature close friend to talk to. If they are mature and they care about you they won't think its nonsense. More and more people are suffering from depression and many are afraid to talk to someone about it. Sometimes one may need to see a doctor who after checking you out, may prescribe a mild medication (that is sometimes a last resort). What really helps also is prayer. The bible says at 1 Peter 5 vs 7... "throw all your anxiety on God because he cares for you". Reading the bible helps. 2 Corinthians 1 vs 3 says...God is a God of all comfort. Be relaxed, first of all, all the people whom you think may judge you are also not perfect.

I can help you with few steps to deal with what you are going through, here it is:

1. Write down all the challenges of your life on a paper (each and every point)
2. Then mark all which are under your control & which are not separately
3. Bifurcate more on what you can do to deal with challenges under your control (Ask why, what, how)
4. Take advise and suggestions on your action plan of point 3 with friends or internet
5. Take your decision on point 3 and act (Irrespective of the what will be the result)
6. Things which are not under your control, think why do they matter to you, list down most critical point, and think again if they matter to you and take suggestion and advice again, and act (I would suggest which are not under your control should not even bother you)
7. If you feel not to share your problems, you can ask your close friends what would he/she might have done if facing similar issues
8. In the end if nothing works, I would suggest join some NGO in your locality, it will definitely make you feel more worthy and happy

You should try some counseling. Let them know how you have been feeling, what exactly you are going through, which things make you feel depressed. Just be honest as you can, the more they know about you, the better they can you try to help you.
