Graphite stuck in finger. How can I get it out?

Ok, so here's the situation. I usually leave pencils in my pocket because, y'know, you never know when you'll need one and I usually have no problems just sliding my hands in them and going on my merry way. So today I do what I usually do and stuff my hands in my pocket when I'm greeted by a sharp pain. I take out my hand, analyze the aching area and notice that I have graphite from a mechanical pencil wedged in my finger. Not in a easy to reach place either, but in the valley betweeen my nail, starting from the bottom up and the skin on my fingers. It doesn't hurt right now but it is incredibly uncomfortable. Anyone have any idea how I can get this out?
