What will the doctor do in this situation?

My boyfriend has strep throat he went to the doctor twice, the first time they swabbed his throat and it came back negative but he knew he had it, nothing got better so he went back and wanted them to do it again, they ran a culture test and he did indeed have it so they put him on an antibiotic since Friday. I have been feeling as if I have it now and I am going to the doctor tomorrow but if my test doesn't come back positive will the doctor still give me an antibiotic knowing that my boyfriend has had it and me being so close to him she should know that I most likely have it if my throat is hurting this bad, or it will eventually show up positive in a test to save me a trip?
