Why aren't more people using wallpapers instead of painting their walls?

I have no idea why people are not using wallpapers instead of painting their walls, but I think Japanese calligraphy art is the best option to decorate your wall. I decorated my two bedrooms with Japanese calligraphy painting and sumi brush painting and these paintings I ordered from Sumigraphy (U-CAN Americas, Inc.). Paintings are really beautiful and all of my friends like it very much.
