A native app is an application program that has been developed for use on particular platform or device and installed on the computing device.

A native app is installed directly on the mobile device and developers create a separate app version for each mobile device. The native app can be found in an app store or play store. It can directly download and installed on mobile device. Data associated with the native app is also stored on the device, although data can be stored remotely and accessed by the native app.

Web apps

Web applications are generalized for multiple platforms and not installed locally, stored on the remote server but made available over the internet through a browser.

There are actually three types of web apps : Traditional web apps, Responsive web apps, and Adaptive web apps.

Traditional web apps include any website.

Responsive web apps switch to different design when it is opened on different devices like mobile, tablets. To make it responsive on all the devices, to FIT on different sizes of device screen it changes its design.

Adaptive web apps do not take different design when it is accessed from different devices. It will adjust to with the different size of the screen with the same design.

Hybrid apps

A hybrid app is a combination of elements of both native and web applications. Hybrid mobile apps integrated device file’s system as well as web-based services. It can be installed on any devices but run via the web browser. The hybrid app works whether or not the device is connected.

Compare to Native apps, Hybrid apps are not fast and it’s complicated to develop hybrid apps. But the end product is more popular and marketable compared to other apps.
