Kitten wool sucking.will it stop on it's own?

My cat is a five-month old kitten. She likes to climb onto my lap and nap. As a prelude to that, she will start suckling on my clothes. She's purring and seems very happy, so I don't think it's a stress-related behavior. It's not a big deal-other than the wet spots on my shorts-but I am curious if it will stop on it's own as she gets older or if I need to discourage it. My only concern is that I love having her on my lap, and I don't, in discouraging her from wool sucking, accidentally discourage her from sitting with me.
