Help connecting PS4 to open wifi in a campground

Have open wifi in our campground. It does not require any passwords to use the wifi. When attempting to connect the PS4 it connects, I see friends, receive invites, messages, etc. But when trying to play online it throws a error message or says not connected. Also when I test internet connection it finds and says internet is connected then fails on nat type. I'm baffled as to what the issue could be. My son also can not get on clash of clans using his ipod touch? We were able to get on Netflix for a minute using smart tv then it quit. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to get a booster, extender or whatever to help the signal if need be. On my phone it shows the wifi strength anywhere from full bars to two bars. Oh yea my phone will randomly get disconnected from the wifi and I will need to re connect funny part is the signal never seems to be gone it just boots me off. Help Thank you!!!
