Am I an unintended sexual assaulter?

When I was about 9 or 10 I helped babysit a toddler. The toddler was opposite gender of me and so I would look, poke the toddler private cause I had never seen that gender private before or up close. I am older now and I feel terrible about this. I am afriad if I tell someone they will call me a rapist. Help! I am a Christian and confused. I have asked for forgiveness but I don't feel forgiven.

Yeah, 10 is old enough to know not to sexually assault a toddler. Also if you hadn't seen those parts yet and you were curious then you could of just googled some stuff. God, you Christians are nothing but a bunch of rapist and child molesters.

You didn't know what you were doing. God will forgive all of your sins, as long as youre telling the truth about not doing it again. You're not a rapist.

You were a young curious kid exploring the unknown, there is nothing bad about what you did, you did nothing wrong that needs forgiveness! the problem is your conscience was implanted with unnatural guilt, as you matured you were probably taught by parents/family, church and society that doing such things was bad or touching yourself and others while feeling sexual excitement was a sin, in other words you have let society program you with a unnatural sense of guilt, which in turn makes you believe that it is nasty, perverted and disgusting to have touched the toddler.
I think you really need to reprogram yourself and start learning how to overcome the part of your conscience that believe it has done wrong and still harbors guilt, when in reality you did nothing more then to exercise your childhood curiosity.
