What's the difference between a drone and an rc plane?

According to FAA regulation, R/C planes are UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). And the term "drone" is just a slang term for a UAV. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unm...

To put it in simple terms "drone" usually means vehicles, which are capable of more than just line-of-sight flight. As for R/C planes there isn't too much of a clear definition as to what it really is.
