i just started working at a vet clinic as a kennel tech. I was told that you do not need to wear gloves to clean out the cages because you cannot catch anything from dogs and cats through fecal matter, blood or urine. is this true? I was also told that I was supposed to clean medical instruments after surgery (ex: scissors with blood on them etc.) with my bare hands and to just wash with dial soap before they put them in the autoclave. are these things okay to do?
