Does green or oolong tea aid in weight loss?

There have been more weight loss success stories written about green tea weight loss over the years than oolong tea for weight loss. The scientists have been able to give green tea much credibility as a fat burner. Less than scientific evidence points towards oolong tea being an excellent fat blocker… good to drink with greasy food. It also contains a bit more caffeine than green tea, speeding up the metabolism and making it easier to burn calories.

Green Tea Can Help You Lose Fat, Especially The Harmful Abdominal Fat. When it comes to actual pounds lost, the effects of green tea are relatively modest. I have tried green tea of TE- A-ME, which is very beneficial in losing a weight.

Oolong tea contains a number of substances that may be helpful for weight loss. It will not cause you to loss large amounts of weight. Drink oolong tea for six weeks, increase the exercise and follow a balanced diet.

Yes upto some extent.

Green Tea:
Green tea has the capacity to boost metabolism as well as body's efficiency in fat burning ( Thus green tea can definitely help you loose weight, but you also needs to support it with well balanced diet & basic fitness regime.

Oolong Tea:
The polyphenols helps in inducing weight loss & also boosts metabolism upto 10% as per few reports ( Although many people are not aware on the weight loss benefit of oolong tea as compared to green tea. But majority of the people consider green tea as it is easily available & is much budget friendly.

Also, it is very important to drink rich flavoured, pure teas in order to avoid side effects occurring from adulteration from local brands. I persoanlly buy tea from Goodricke Tea (, it really has a rich flavor & brings freshness to me in the morning.
