Real estate is categorized into three types which are as follows:
1. Residential Real Estate
2. Commercial Real Estate
3. Industrial Real Estate

Commercial Real estate: the property that is used solely for business purposes or you can say that property with the help of which you can produce income.
For eg: malls, office parks, restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores and office towers.
Residential real estate: used for living purposes.
Industrial real estate: used for manufacturing and production.

Investing in commercial real estate often requires high amount of startup capital and extensive knowledge of the legal, financial and regulatory aspects of owning this type of property.
The person who occupy the commercial real estate usually lease the space to the investors who than owns the building and collects rent from each business that operates there.
