My friendship bracelet is uneven

It has bumps on the sides just like my knitting does and if I look closely it looks as if string is missing. It is also twisty/curvy. It doesn't have any holes in the middle but sometimes has bumps in the middle or there's little holes and bumps near the sides when I tied it it looked like there was string missing where I forgot to tie a knot.
