I need help with my short story setting.

I am planning to write a short story based on a Fictional royal family, I plan to set the story in the UK; the queen/king rule over a nominal/medium area.Can someone suggest pretty and scenic places in the UK? Where I can set my story..
P.S : The royal family will be purely fictitious, there will be no link with the current monarchs of The UK.
