Can I read the book Throne of Glass if I'm 11 years old?

OK, I'm eleven and I've read about Throne of Glass and want to read it, yet people (the internet) say that you have to be 12 or above to read. What's so inappropriate about it? I'm really mature.

I've read what it's about and it looks really nice.
