Insurance question

I was getting Medicaid while employed and as of now I made 22,000 this year.....not a lot of money, but my insurance company Medicaid stated that I made too much money and my insurance will end at the end of the month ....I make pocket change, anyway now they sent me a letter and told me if I had a kid I could keep the insurance....I don't get it, I make too much money while single, but if I had a kid its ok....wth.......isn't that discrimination..... why should I have to have kids to get some help from the state, the state helps everybody else that doesn't belong here with no issues...im a us born American....but anyway does anyone know of any cheap health insurance folks.... thanks for your help ...I cant get any help from the DHS office nor any of there affiliates, blue cross blue shield etc....they all go through the state. should I try and find some insurance or just pay the fine........thanks for your help
