I need help with an app. I think it merged something bad.

I need help! I was trying to delete multiple text message threads and instead, I hit merge in my Google hangouts app. I need to know if everyone that was merged can now see all the content in these several threads. My (soon to be) father in law is one of them and this makes me nervous. So nervous I cannot sleep. Please help.
