Anyone remembers that film which was about a white man gets shot and saved by a native american?

I don't remember much, just a car chase at the beginning, some gunfight, and that young white man who gets injured and saved from the murderers by a young native American man. I remember there was a reserve and it took place in the 1980s maybe.
