Why is David a hero of faith?
Why is he in the Bible for this?

David is someone that I truly enjoying reading about. David had strong faith even when he was young. He built his faith by relying on God when working as a shepherd. 1 Samuel 17:34-37 is an excellent example of his faith, when he fought against Goliath. Verse 37 says: Then David added: "Jehovah (God's name), who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear, he is the one who will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine." And because of David's faith, he was a man agreeable to God's heart. Like David, we need to cultivate such faith by relying on God in our day-to-day activities. But that can make us wonder how do I cultivate such faith? A website that I'm sure that you will enjoy is jw.org. It helps us to get to know God and show us how to draw close to him according to his standards. I hope to take the time to go there.
