I'm just a average guy in 6th grade, and I like this girl, I asked her if she likes me in chat

I really like this girl, I'm just the average popular guy, and I told her a few weeks ago, and now she told all my friends and her friends, I'm okay with that, but wherever I go, I can't have one of her friends giggling at me. I have her in 9 of my classes, but she just seems to ignore me. Why? Her friend told me that she likes me back, and don't tell me to find another girl. or that i'm too young.

There are just two things in your question: It's either she likes you back but is too shy or maybe her friends are fooling you that's why they are giggling when they saw you. All girls do that to their friends. Saying to the guy that their friend likes him but not. Maybe she is too shy to show you that she likes you back because you are popular. Maybe she thinks that she is just a quiet simple girl and your popular. Just show your affection towards her.
