My crush rejected me on facebook what does this means?

I have been in love with this girl in my neighbourhood for an year but there is no other way of talking to her rather than facebook so I sent a request it remained unaccepted for an year and then it got rejected. does that mean that she has rejected me? At times I have noticed her looking at me but then again this rejection confuses me. I think that if she by any means would have like me she wouldn't have rejected my request!!

Maybe this girl likes you and posts stuff about you on fb but only her friends see it and if she added you you coukd see it? Or maybe she has an overprotective mum and can't friend you maybe she didn't see it and just rejected all of them idk
