I am crazy about this guy and I need help😔

I have known this guy for about 7 months. I am absolutely crazy in love with him.. Apparently he likes me too but I'm pretty sure he is too shy to tell me. School is almost over and I want to tell him before then. But I have no idea how. He is one of my best friends right now and if I tell him and he doesn't like me back I am scared it will be awks after that, and if he doesn't talk to me the same after that.. I don't know what I would do. Please someone help me and tell me how to do this. I like him so much it's unreal. Lol so someone please help ASAP thanks.:)

Go to the man and say 'hey I like you more than a friend' and he will tell if he wants to proceed or remain friends
