While direct enrollment capability for private healthcare exchanges is definitely one way to reduce the load and take some pressure off the federal marketplace, it isn’t a lasting solution for the problem. The best solution at this moment is to make the federal site capable enough to handle the load of signups.

Yes, private healthcare exchanges can definitely assist the federal marketplace and help people, especially those who are not eligible for subsidies, go through the enrollment process. I agree with the above, that it is not a lasting solution, but it is definitely a start in the right direction.
