I want to start a bake sale so my son can help a charity of his pick but

I want to start a bake sale so my son can help a charity of his pick but I want to ask his school Principal
for Help to see if we can do at the school or a school event so other kids can help if they want also we can send flyers home but I don't know how to start the email so if anyone can help that would be great.
i want my son to learn how good it feels to help overs and to see that one group of people can make a huge difference in others life's.
and to get him away from his video games even if it's for a little bit.
