What's the first thing that comes to mind when I say the words 'morbid and macabre'?

For Studio Arts Units 3 and 4, i'm gathering an array of views and opinions of the morbid and macabre for my exploration on aspects within this field.

Thus, does the topic make you uncomfortable or is it perhaps a topic you don't like to think about? Furthermore, how do you think a child would respond to such content? I'm also exploring how this imagery is 'hidden from a child's imagination' and how certain demographics would respond differently due to experiences and age.

Here's is some stimulus to start you off; the artwork is by artist, Kazuya Akimoto: http://blinkrart.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/threeskulls.jpg

Thank you.
