Can you memorise periodic table?Please help

My chemistry teacher says you should memorise all the elements of periodic table with atomic number have your teacher said such a thing ? How should I do with this I swear that Mendeleev didn't memorise that elements

Apparently you can but me personally nope I haven't even tried it! my mate can though.

I have done it till Krypton 36, but still I remember a few between these 36 elements.

There's a song on YouTube about it (with pictures) and it helps me remember some-
Hydrogen, helium ,lithium, brelium, boron, carbon, nytrogen, oxygen, fluoride neon, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, sulphur, chlorine, argon, potassium, calcium.

First 20 Thats all I can memorize but I don't think u should have to memorize ALL of them....
