Is there a headset capatable with ps3 and ps4?

Im suprising my boyfriend with a headset for Call of Duty Ghosts for Christmas. Right now we have the ps3 but come income tax time, hes buying a ps4. I need to know if I should go ahead and buy the headset for him for Christmas or wait until he buys the ps4 before I buy a headset. If anyone knows where I could find a headset that will work for both systems, that would be awesome. Could you tell me the name brand and the price too, and where I can buy one!!! Thanks in advance

Afterglow universal wireless headset. I've used it on my ps4 PS3 and Xbox 360. Not amazing sound quality when compared to top brands of turtle beaches but still a pretty good headset for how universal it is.
I think they run around $100 before shipping. Amazon has them to purchase. I have the "blue" ones not sure if it makes a difference. The end of the plug to charge them or connect them to charge is a usb so it will plug into all consoles to charge. Each console is different to connect so you will have to play with the options to connect it wirelessly or through the Bluetooth option but it does connect to all three that I have said previously.
