As I did it showed the acer logo and then just went black with nothing displayed.. the fan still works and it clearly looks on, its just not starting.. I have tried everything like taking out the battery, pressing esc, gn-f4 to fn-f6, I pressed alt-f10, f8.. it just dosant give me any options.. anyone can help please?

I've had this problem with many computers. Actually I'm using an Acer Aspire laptop right now, and it has been a little glitchy ever since I got it. It's probably because of a virus or malware that got into your computer (they can get past anti-virus software sometimes) and started messing with things until it went kaput. There really isn't anything you can do about it, seeing a person to repair it will probably just cost you money because I doubt there's anything that can fix it.

If you boot from the Windows CD (If you don't have a cd drive use a usb one) wich is much cheaper than having someone do it for you after you chose the options in the bottom left corner it will say "Repair Windows" Click that then follow the steps
