I am trying to prepare a company account and am stuck under note 5... I am unsure as to how to obtain the result of the price per share (PPS). The example I have to work by is this; 1) Paid final Dividends for 2011 = 10,500 & PPS = 3p. 2) Paid Interim Dividend for 2012 = 7,000 & PPS = 2p. 3) In addition, the directors propose a final dividend in respect of the year ended 31 May of 4p per share, amounting to £4000. - I just don't get the calculation. This is only the example, I just want to figure out how the maths behind it is done.
