When christians pray to god, are they referring to the father, the son, or both?

I mean not theologically, but do they think about it in their minds.

why not? :P
I guess when I pray I think about praying to God, as in the Father, though with the whole Trinity thing we've learned the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all One. But I know that doesn't really answer your question. Personally, when I pray, I pray to the Father. :)

John 14:6 Jesus said..." I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So we pray to God in Jesus' name because this is the only way that God has approved to approach him. If you have more questions about prayer you can go to www.jw.org and it answers so many questions and from the bible. You should look up all scriptures and if you don't have one you can download it for free.
