I have a strong sewerage smell coming from under the hall floor, what shall I do?

My partner has just recently discovered a foul smell coming from under the floor in her flat. The smell is located in the hall way, she is unsure what to do. We have had a 6.5 earthquake recently, would this be a probable cause?

It is highly possible that a 6.5 earthquake could break or dislodge a sewer pipe. What she should do depends on the ownership. If she is renting, contact the landlord, that would be their responsibility. If she owns the building, contact the homeowner's insurance company and hire a plumbing contractor to fix it.

Your home flooring has leakage so the gas comes out through the hole. You should replace the floor and install gain flooring by our tiles. www.tileswest.com.au
