Should I be worried about a positive blood test result that doctors did for birth defects

they called from my doctors office saying I have to be referred to a genetic counslor for further details on a positive blood result. they had me go for a blood draw to test my blood that they have pregnant patients do during 15-20 weeks of preg I am 18 weeks now. I am so stressed out n scared please help

We always assume the worse but genetic counseling isn't necessarily a reason to panic. It is better to wait until you know all of the facts than to assume it's bad news. I understand you're concern but thinking logically will offer better results than thinking emotionally every time. Calm down and do your best to understand what the counselor says.
