I need to know how to set our geothermal thermostat pls

specifically, I would like the a/c to come on but no matter which way I set the wanted temperature, the temp doesn't come down...fiance away and I WON'T CALL and ask him, but I need this darn thing to be set properly; have them in two rooms, each set to little "snowflake" and 70 degrees automatic...and there doesn't appear to be a category which I can properly put this question within... :/

A typical thermostat has a setting for the Temp and a selector for Heat, Off and Cool. Some have fan settings for Auto and Manual. Manual causes the fan to run all of the time and Auto is controlled by the Temp. Select Auto. Heat Pumps have an emergency heat switch on the thermostat, for A/C it should be off.

If it is not doing anything, check the fuse/circuit breaker. If running but not cooling, make sure the filter is clean and it isn't icing. If all of those things appear to be correct, you need a service technician. It may need recharging.
