How can I get a girl friend thumbs up for answers

ok so im 12 and I know I shouldnt be concerning myself with that sort of stuff but like every one else in year 7 is dating somebody so im like the third wheel to all of my friends so I was just wondering how to get a girlfriend because I have had like 1 but we only went out for like a month but she asked me out so im not really sure how to go about that sort of thing any answers get a thumbs up because yes, I am just THAT awesome ;D
