How to prevent other people using the same wifi as you do, from viewing your mobile phone?

As I have read, it is possible to actually view your device by someone whom you're sharing the same wifi with. Our wifi is secured with password but I don't want anyone ruining my privacy. Is there any way to prevent someone to view my mobile phone?? Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you
