Can I bring budgies to the outdoors in their cages for picnic?

So monday,Victoria Day, me and my whole family decided to go out in a picnic and I wanted to know if I could bring my birds in their cage and my friend's birds in their cage too.But we will ask their permission first,because they are in a vacation outside of the country.It's going to be 17°C and a possibility of rain but of course we're going to cancel if it rains...
