I have severe social anxiety and no one knows, do I tell my girlfriend who I am very close with?

I have been suffering from social anxiety for about 3 years now, I avoid most social situations but can hide the anxiety to a certain degree so no one finds out, I am seeking help and am currently on waiting for counseling, do I tell my girlfriend, will it make me more comfortable around her or will it made it worse and will she go off of me if she realizes, we are very close so I don't want to ruin what we have, I love her to bits, should I tell her or just leave it?

If you guys are that close than she probably has an idea about your anxiety. I would talk to her about it. No girl would leave someone for a problem like that unless they were really shallow or the problem got to be too extreme like you can't even leave your house. My husbands mom has it to where she can't leave the house. She missed our wedding, our sons birth, birthday parties, holidays that we have at our house. Everyone enables her by taking care of her and paying for everything. She literally sits around and does nothing. Don't let your life get to this point. Talk to people that can help and support you. The more people you have behind you the easier it will be to get over it. If you don't confront the problem, than you can't get over the problem! And I just know she'll support you! Good luck! :D

Tell her so you can find comfort in her, she will help you and it will not ruin anything. Girls like it when guys trust them with real issues they feel needed and loved. She will help you.
I Hope you Overcome your problem
