How Can I Easily Record Myself,Singing With a Karaoke Track, at Home?

I sing a lot and I had a friend request that I make her a CD for a wedding present. I have never used any sort of recording equipment. I own a mixer and mic system etc . Is there any sort of simple software or device I can use to record myself singing with a karaoke track?

There is a program for a computer you can download called Audacity. Its a free download and you can plug the mic in the computer and sing and it records it like a really recorder. From then on you can save the recording and then burb it onto a disc
