Is it normal for certain bronchitis symptoms to reappear?

Hello. February of this year I was diagnosed with bronchitis. At the time, the symptoms that led me to the doctor were severe chest pain and fever. I was prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen and the pain subsided. Now, about three months later, I am once again feeling chest discomfort and constantly tired. The chest pain is almost identical to the pain I was feeling before I was diagnosed, but it is not nearly as severe. I was wondering if it is normal for bronchitis symptoms to reappear. I also think it is important to mention that I am a smoker. Although I was not smoking with recovering from bronchitis the first time, I did start smoking again after the pain was completely gone. Please let me know if it is normal for the chest pain and fatigue to reappear. I do not have a cough.

"Chronic" bronchitis will do what you describe, especially if it's being irritated.
