What is wrong with my car. It will run and drive but on a hot day if you cut the car off after driving it you have to wait about 10 minutes before it will start back up. What is it? Please help.

When heated, metals expand, when they cool off they contract. That can affect a lot of connections in an automobile engine. What happens when you try to restart it?

* No sounds - Possibly a bad cell in the battery, a bad cable connection or defective starter relay.
* Clicking sound only. - Starter problem.
* Turns over but no chugging sound at all. Possible loose wire ignition to coil.
* Turns over and chugs but doesn't catch on. Most likely not a connection. Look for fuel vapor lock, bad fuel, dirty air filter.
