Leaving my dog at the vet to heal his sprain pls HELP ME!

well last week, we were so worried and take our dog to the vet becuz he has sprain (i told my parents to take him to the vet, I do some research and let them read my research becuz they don't listen to me). When we are already at the vet (the vet is my grandma's friend), and I dont know why! they keep on talking other things and the vet is always changing topic and after that long talk my grandma said to leave our dog here for a while (my granny's friend, the vet has 40 dogs and that place is where we bought rein,my chihuahua). So now I miss him! I keep asking to my grandma...pls call the vet or can we pls visit him! but shes always busy (shes still 64 years old) but a while ago, she call the vet and ask if Rein is OK? but the vet said still not! and I do some research how long to heal a strain of a dog... and I read some info 2 weeks to 2 months or 2 weeks to a month. So I think leaving our chihuahua there is wrong (second dog...i have my first dog and died after one month becuz of hit and run o_O) so I dont know if we should get him and let it heal here in our home with tips of course... or leaving our baby Rein at the vet.. ANYWAY THE VET IS THE OLD HOME OF MY DOG AND WE BOUGHT HIM ON A AGE OF TWO YEARS OLD AND THATS WHY MY GRANDMA FEEL HOPELESS BECUZ SHE SAID WE BOUGHT THE WRONG DOG HIS OLD ALREADY! I KEEP DEFENDING BUT A BIG NO...SO DO WE HAVE TO LEAVE OR GET HIM...thank u so much pls dont put foolishness! becuz I miss my baby doggy so much THANK U!

If its a bad sprain, then he should stay. If its not something that u can't take care of, then he should be home with you! I have two dogs and I know how you feel :)
