I had a dispute with some woman. She parked too close to my car and swung her door into mine despite seeing that there was clearly no room to get out. She left a scrape on my car. She was very rude and said I couldn't prove anything. Now she has contacted the police and they have contacted me saying that this woman has 2 witnesses who saw me key her car.. I was with my boyfriend at the time and he is willing to argue that I did not do it. I am going to say that the reason I was touching her car was to check for damage, to see if my paint was on her car. My question is, can I be prosecuted for this even though I did not key her car? She may have two witnesses but they have got the wrong end of the stick. I am really worried, should I deny touching the car completely or should I say yes, I checked for damage?
