Other than evolution what theories are there on how humans came to be?

heres something to think about with the evolution deal. If evolution was correct then how is it that things such as monkeys which we are supposedly evoluted from, are still in existance as monkeys and during the monkeys lifetime, they stay monkeys and never evolve into any greater being? As far as the Adam and Eve thing it goes farther than that. God created the first human and that begat Eve. Adam and Eve weren't just there one day chilling and eating fruit. The religious theory is the most plausible but I highly highly encourage you to do your own research in that field. Don't just go by what people tell you.
