Looking for a reliable internet broadband connection in pakistan. what are my options?

I am a freelance journalist and just landed in Islamabad, Pakistan to cover the upcoming 2013 general elections. During my stay in Pakistan, I will be traveling to majority of rural areas to compile reports on the conduct of elections. For this, I need an internet connection, preferably a 3G or 4G dongle, that provides coverage in rural as well as urban localities. Please let me know whats my best and most reliable option in this scenario.

Dear Talha,

There are many broadband service providers in Pakistan. However, in your case, I'll suggest that you stick with PTCL broadband services. I'll further suggest going for the PTCL evo 3G broadband dongle that will help you stay connected due to its wide coverage area. PTCL EVO wireless broadband is available in 250 rural+urban locations so you'll have internet available at majority of the places that you travel. Other ISPs like Wateen, Wi-Tribe, Qubee and WorldCall wireless broadband do provide wireless internet services but they are frequently non reliable and only cover cities and metropolitan areas. Furthermore, PTCL has just announced that they now have a subscriber base exceeding 0.5 million users spread all over Pakistan. For more information on PTCL 3G Evo, you can check out their packages at http://ptcl.com.pk/pd_content.php?pd_id=203.

I hope my answer has helped you.
